Don't agree. Young Haitian brains are a huge national resource. Haiti needs young Haitians to academically dominate.

@somindlesssmedia Maybe Bbq could be elected to a 7 year term of office? Kicking out is meaningless while Haiti is highly dependent on foreign aid and NGOs. Restoring law and order, disarming various militias and rapid economic growth in my view should be the priority. Maybe Bbq could do it?

@decodedpsyop Its not just Singapore. Why is the entire Asian continent with some exceptions economically booming? They also suffered greatly from colonialism? Why is Rwanda economically booming?

@S.Watson246 How do you explain India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Brunei, Kuwait, Iraq, Israel, Jordan and many African countries such as Rwanda. Many countries all over the world are economically booming.

@decodedpsyop I don't think you appreciate how desperate Haiti's situation is. South Africa's military is increasingly incompetent. Ivory Coast can do good. So can Kenya. Haiti has to accept help from whoever will offer it. Whether that by Jamaica, DR, Bahamas, USA, France, China, Japan, Brazil, Mexico.

@somindlesssmedia This does not make sense. In your view, what led to the Asian economic miracle? What led to rapid real GDP growth in Rwanda, Botswana, Seychelles, Mauritius, Kenya, Tanzania? The US and many other countries have large FID (advisory and training) missions in many of the above countries.

@decodedpsyop Why are all the above countries doing far better in 2024 than Haiti? I agree that Haiti needs a powerful army and police force to establish law and order. Trained and advised by the international community. And then rapid free market reforms to try to surge exports, tourism, FDI.

@S.Watson246 In many cases other countries that have succeeded have had comparable challenges as Haiti. I am not comparing Haiti to perfection. The question is why Haiti isn't as successful as Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya. Not why Haiti isn't doing as well as the DR--which I agree would be unfair.

India has more than 3 times the per capita income of Haiti based on PPP. Why is Haiti far less socio-economically successful than Bihar, India's poorest state (which has 135 million people)? Haiti had 3 times India's per capita income in 1991. The Asian Tiger economic miracle extended across the vast majority of Asia. Pakistan is an exception. Despite being richer than India per capita in the 1990s, Pakistan will probably have 1/3 of India's per capita income within less than a decade. The British did a lot of damage pushing fabian socialism and proto wokeness on her former colonies.
