It is better for people who are in love with Japanese deep culture and civilization and will fight for it such as you to go to Japan than some other migrants come with very different ideas . . . conservative sunni islamists from Pakistan, UK, Somalia for example.

This is unrelated to the current immigration debate or the current relative economic decline of the UK. Asian, African, and Latin American countries are also dealing with massive unbridled illegal immigration. How can this problem be solved?

Ben Habib is very impressive. At the same time, the female guest said that 3/4ths of all land in England is owned by foreigners and immigrants. How does England and the UK adjust to being socio-economically dominated by foreigners and immigrants? The UK needs foreign talent to prevent an economic collapse. Yet the UK needs to promote shared values and shared culture. I think wise British leaders such as Ben Habib can implement this.

@TsugaC Ethnic English students aren't doing well in GCSE and A levels though. England has a massive shortage of talent. Doesn't Britain need to aggressively court foreign talent to economically survive. Currently 83% of foreign students leave the UK within 5 years of arriving. And the UK has a lot of long-term outward emigration.

@TsugaC You have a point. Immigrants need to be taught Angles, Saxon, Welsh, Scott and Irish culture and celebrate the greatness of these civilizations. As well as the great cultural heritage from the Celts, pre Roman peoples, Romans, Norse, Norse Normans, French. And the post 1066 modern English period. Magna Carte from 1215 and English common law. Little of this is being done now. I think Britain would greatly benefit from brining in English speaking talent from the Commonwealth countries of Africa. They are likely to be hyper patriotic and pro Britain. The UK also needs to deeply vet immigrants and keep criminals, organized crime leaders and extremists out.

The UK is growing an indigent ethnic English underclass that underperforms immigrants and ethnics. The UK desperately needs more talented immigrants to avoid economic collapse. And to persuade them to live in the UK long term versus just pass through, which too many UK immigrants do. The UK also desperately needs to massively improve K-12 education. There is a lot of backlash, resentment and jealousy inside the UK against talented immigrants and ethnics. 67 of the UK's 146 billionaires are immigrants. If current trends continue it is probable that the overwhelming vast majority of UK billionaires, immigrants, elites, startup co-founders, startup founding team members, angel investors, VCs, private equity, asset managers, I Bankers, consultants, senior corporate executives, scientists, inventors, technologists, top academics are likely to be immigrants, children of immigrants, grandchildren of immigrants and ethnics. It would help if British thought leaders would address these elephants in the room head on; and discuss the real-world tradeoffs the UK people face.

But to turn this around, this needs to be acknowledged. And kids in K-12, GCSE, A levels, need to do a lot better. The UK needs to get her self-confidence and mojo back.
