Some call this sarva dharma or all religions being true or partly true. Are you worried that the BJP is causing fitna among muslims by supporting sufis, shia, liberal sunnis and agnostic muslims against conservatives sunnis? PM Modi is frequently called Maulana Modi because of his deep speeches on islamic theology, the greatness of Mohammed SAW, muslim spiritual masters and islam. Do you feel these speeches are offensive to conservative sunnis?

@AjayTiwari-en9nz 100%. India should make it easy for Jews to visit India, conduct business in India, work in India, study in India, live in India and become Indian citizens. Many Jews and Israelis are drawn to eastern spirituality and culture and would come.

@mr.takethingstooseriously India is very good friends with almost all the world's democracies, including Europeans, USA Canada, Brazil, Mexico, asian democracies etc. But with Nigeria's friendship with India . . . comes India's man allies--especially in Asia. Nigeria should cease this chance and use India as a lubricant to close economic integration with the great and middle asian powers.

India is also a pathway to better relations with the USA, Europeans (especially France), Isreal. Nigeria should cease this opportunity quickly and try to have more than 7% annualized real GDP growth over the next few decades.

@rebelblade7159 India in my view can have very rapid GDP growth up to Mexico's per capita level of income or over $10,000 per capita GDP nominal and over $22,000 per capita GDP PPP. If India only achieves this, India will have the world's largest economy and be a global superpower. India doesn't need to transition from upper middle income country to first world country to achieve this. [Which I agree with you will be very challenging.] India has a lot of very high value add R&D and industry (elite universities, institutions, highly capable governance institutions, high end entrepreneurship talent) and is likely to replace the USA as the world's largest VC market within a decade. India's problem is in English imperialist imposed socialism and inefficiency in agriculture and low tech industries. Undoing this legacy of the English "license raj" will be very challenging. Why do you think global capitalists care about suppressing specific people and groups of people versus just making money? Why would they care enough about suppressing India to make less money?

Much of the mainstream Indian press is very anti Indian and anti BJP and anti Modi. Much like much of the US mainstream press hates Trump. And in many cases hate America. The fact that woke journalists such as Ravi are mainstream among the Indian media proves how free and cantankerous the Indian media is. There are hundreds or more news channels, magazines and journals with so many different perspectives that no one can possibly study its entirety and keep track of it. The Indian press is vastly freer, more diverse and more in-fighting than the Canadian press. With much of the Indian press attacking each other nonstop. India has more than 1.4 billion people with more than 4 million groups of people by some estimates. The diversity of India is comparable to the diversity of the whole world minus India. A level of diversity and multiplicity and nonlinearity that is almost unimaginable in Canada. What I think is true is that Trudeau and Jagmeet might be the two most unpopular people in India. With Indian woke and Indian left and Indian muslims attacking them much the way almost every other Indian faction attacks them. Canadians need to reflect within themselves about why they have elected leaders who are deeply disliked and viewed as illegitimate outside of Canada. Why Trudeau and Jagmeet are widely viewed as supporters of international terrorism outside of Canada. If you think the Indian public and press dislike Trudeau and Jagmeet, check out the Bangladeshi press and pubic. Bangladeshis are furious that Canada gives citizenship and protection to Takfiri sunni islamist terrorists who have killed the father of Bangladesh and who continue to slaughter Bangladeshis. Trudeau and Jagmeet need to get out of the global terrorism business. And if they refuse to, then Canadians need to kick them out to save Canada.

If so, then you should recognize that countries with the English legal system (UK, Ireland, Canada, India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia) don't have free speech the way the USA does. The USA has the first amendment, which other countries do not have. There are significant limitations on free speech and free press in British Commonwealth nations. Some of these restrictions flow from the right to sue under indemnity law. These indemnity lawsuits are common in Canada, UK, India, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore etc. And they dampen free speech and free press. There is also a "hate speech" legal problem. I think these restrictions on free speech and free press are major problems and that other countries should move towards the USA model.

The very rich, powerful, educated and successful Nigerian diaspora and expat community alone can socio-economically raise Nigeria. My view is that Nigeria should let inequality rip higher and bring the diaspora and expats back home. And make it easy for immigrants to move to Nigeria and get Nigerian citizenship.

@mikefish8226 I think more African Americans would benefit from working, conducting business and living abroad. One reason so many successful Nigerians leave Nigeria is an aversion to greater inequality (which would inevitably result from the diaspora returning home.) It would also help Nigeria retain more organic Nigerian talent that would otherwise flee the country.

It is in the interests of the democratic liberal free world that major global terrorists such as Nijjar be arrested and prosecuted. India is also a more liberal free democracy than Canada or the UK.
