  21.  @freequark  I am also an American observer and maybe this is why I don't get it. There is a world of difference between Rishi and Labour. Labour would sink the UK. The British people greatly underestimate the woke threat. Rishi is trying to do many good things but is continually blocked by courts and woke lite / big government elements in his own party. Labour would try to further deteriorate the quality of immigrants and bring in many more unskilled immigrants and immigrants who hate Britain and England. Labour will also try to reduce the number of talented, skilled and pro British immigrants. [For fear they will be anti Labour since they have common sense.] By contrast, Rishi will try to increase the quality of immigrants. Increase the number of talented and skilled immigrants and reduce the number of illegal and unskilled and English hating immigrants. In practice, Rishi has been unable to execute his vision. But Labour could crash the UK economy to the point that Malaysia has a higher per capita income than the UK within a decade or two.

  30. Love the 10 points except for the first. Why can't the UK introduce a point immigration system and aggressively recruit the best and brightest from around the world? And try to retain immigrants long term? Immigrants should at a deep level love Britain, be hyper patriotic and be deeply learned in deep British culture, civilization, character and values. This is a core part of how the other 9 points can be achieved. Am a well wisher from the USA. So perhaps I don't understand British and English dynamics well enough. Most democracies from all over the world would greatly benefit from most of Peter Whittle's ideas.

Probably the foreign students who attend the first tier Canadian Universities such as Univ of Toronto, McGill and University of British Columbia are pretty good. However many third tier Canadian universities really are getting the dregs and bottom performers of foreign countries. Maybe Canada should restrict foreign visas for students to attend third tier Canadian universities.
