  1. I feel like it's uniquely US guys' problem where they don't know what they want. Probably due to US marriage laws being kinda ass. And the push for independence from a young age, so they don't have a strong sense of family like in Europe and Asia. US was the frontier for independent explorers after all.

  2. On the other end of the spectrum, extremely traditional Asian men get married so his parents can have grandchildren. The women are just the vehicles for children. No need for personality, charm, wit or bonding either. Opposite end of the spectrum to independent US men, but the women' roles are more or less the same.
