  1. On the topic of the original AR-10, giving the production license to AI might've been the biggest mistake that ArmaLite and Fairchild made. They could never make enough of these guns to satisfy some of the larger countries that wanted it. Germany, Italy, and France among others really really liked this gun, but AI took too damn long to make them and so interest faded in favor of the production-ready FAL and other available designs.   3. My understanding is that the waffle mags can be modified to work in the BRN-10, but I put it to you to find someone who's willing to cut away at an original mag. They are very valuable.
