  4. Roman Dougherty They shortened the cartridge and cut down the powder charge. They still use the same bullet though, meaning .30-06 creates a greater recoil impulse.

  5. The BM59? It's almost a regular M1 in .308, but shortened and with a mag and slightly different gas cylinder assembly and sometimes a bipod.
