Generally, "weak" would refer to unreliable performance in defense. Yes, nobody would want to be shot by it, but if you did shoot someone, the chances of defeating your attacker are lower than with a more potent cartridge. .25 ACP would definitely kill a man.... tomorrow.

44WarmocK77 The military in general is always looking for ways to make their guns easier to use AND more potent. The 1911 was a slam dunk because it was easy to use by your standard soldier but potent enough to kill quicker.
