  2. It's possible that the French saw the Keene and liked the idea, but I don't believe there's anything linking the two together... other than the Lebel itself really. The French did like the Remington Lee , which makes me wonder why on earth they didn't go for a mag feed.... maybe they thought it was too tiring for the troops to be able to shoot that fast...
