  2. Centrists are in danger. 🤔 1: There are more of us than hyper partisans on either side. 2: We take care of business instead of whining and complaining. ie prepared. So yeah, have your civil war. The crazies on both sides can tear each other apart and we'll clean up the mess and move on. The idea that they'll come for the centrists is ridiculous. They'll be too busy focusing on each other.

Anyway, stating that studying history and/or human nature somehow validates your claim that there are no centrists is a circular argument. You offer no proof or examples. Easily dismissed. If Dalio stated a logical agreement (whatever you mean by that) go ahead and post it and I'll respond to that too. It certainly is my opinion. If you wish to dispute it then you'll need facts. That's how debate works. And this sentence "...no metric of relevance stating the centrist, which isn't even a real position, is the majority" doesn't make sense. If you'd like me to define a term I'm happy to do it. Finally, we don't have a two party system. There are two parties that dominate. So, again, easily dismissed. Care to try again?

You said two party system. It clearly is not. Effectively has nothing to do with it. What about most European nations with multiple parties? Those don't count because they don't support your assertion? Metric polling relevance. I see where you're coming from. You tell people what their "real" preferences are because you know better. Go examine it again because your analysis is wrong. 2 parties: Has it always been R's and D's? There's that pesky history again. Don't be dumb. (see what I did there?) There are numerous examples of coalition governments in Europe. Go check. Don't be dishonest (hmm, did it again). So now I'll blow up your fantasyland (last time :D) with some facts that even you should recognize. Fact: In every civil war the combatants have been a small percentage of the population. Fact: These combatants, for the most part, did not go house to house forcing people to choose a side. They focused on the opposing force. Fact: Centrist "having moderate political views" That's out of the dictionary. Do you know what a dictionary is? Therefore Centrists most DEFINITELY outnumber hyper partisans on both sides, combined. Fact: After each conflict those remaining civilians (centrists) cleaned up the mess as the combatants (hyper partisans) had attrited the opposing side. Fact: Those same civilians (centrists) didn't choose anything. Through the accident of geography they were caught on a particular side. Fact: Most people just want to live their lives in relative safety with no conflict. What they will do is defend themselves when threatened. Fact: Most people can't even wrap their heads around these higher ideals you claim have relevance. Show me the average person who can accurately define democracy or socialism. Fact: Throughout history these folks have been led to action by a hyper partisan dumbing down their "high minded value" to "that other group is trying to hurt you (physically, financially, morally). Get 'em!" In other words duped. Generally by clowns like you throwing around 50 cent words. Self described academics. Of course your arguments work on others. They're not that smart. I just like to check. ;)
