  1. The SR 71 flies at 25 km. Virgin Galactic reaches 89 km, Blue Origin 107 km. So to claim that it is the height of spy planes is absolutley wrong. US Air Force definition for the beginning of space is 80 km, most used definition is 100 km. Yes, they don't go into orbit, and yes, it is just a carnival ride.
