if i were a developing nation i would try to get my dollars into solid assets and the currencies of other countries that are not part of the "free" world. you want silos full of wheat so people can eat, and then instead of money in a usa bank, i would buy stuff like titanium from russia, for instance. bulldozers, machine tools, stuff like that which will continue to have value. if you have deserts, do projects to keep the water on the land to reverse desertification. if i was able to grow something like fruit trees, i would get a whole bunch of them.
