Poland's hatred for Russia is irrational. They have not found closure with their Soviet past. Every time they look at Russia, they look through their Soviet lens. It is painful. And it is unnecessary.

This is so sad and so unnecessary. You can rationalize it any way you want. People see the world through different lenses. Most people still look at Russia through the Soviet lens, of course they see threats. But Russia only want peace. Putin even submitted 2 treaty proposals in December 2021. He was belittled, ridiculed, and dismissed. Well, if you think he is a threat and you want to put missiles on his doorstep, then you are escalating it. Now it is Russia who is seeing the threat. Something has to give. And we are all giving a bit now, no matter where you are. Tomorrow, someone might have to give a bit more because the other side thinks you are a bigger threat than he is comfortable to live with. I have no dog in the fight so all of these are just a sad sad sad TV show to me.

I can predict this much, Ursula will soon be joining Boris Johnson, Mario Draghi, Kaja Kallas, Kiril Petkov, Magdalena Andersson . . . Scholz and Marin might join them too. Macron lost a majority. Truss should call an election to get a mandate. Trudeau is up for review soon.
