  1. If you check the internet/youtube, you will find lots of posts about Sharp TVs suffering a premature failure. Most of the failures point to an inexpensive small chip in the power supply. Sharp could have used a better quality chip, it might cost an additional 2 cents, and it would make the TV last forever.
