  1. America is NOT poor. America has money. The problem is in the redistribution. The system allows the wealthy to retain a disproportionate share of their income, thereby creating government debt. The govt needs to bring in more revenue. The tariff is an easy sell because the uninformed falsely and naively believe China pays the tax. Possible solutions for raising the govt revenue: A wealth tax. Higher consumption tax - sales tax or VAT. The Europeans are paying 25% on purchases !
