  4. In Canada, you cannot post a news link on Facebook. Background: The CAN govt "wants" social media to pay the news media a fee for using the news content (The media never asked for it, this is the govt's invention). So, instead of paying up, FB decided to disallow people from posting news links. The ultimate effect -- a form of news blackout, or censorship, or dumbing down. -- People won't be able to get alternative views or news from places outside of their circle. eg. if someone wants to discuss a UKr news article, he won't be able to share the news link on FB.
