  1. I doubt Trump will be hard on China. He might talk tough now, but reality will guide him to a more sensible approach. Firstly, the US cannot afford to have two enemies. The Ru front is a disaster. Any escalation in the East will isolate the US even more. Secondly, the US economy is too attached to China, they have no way to cut back, let alone disengage. Furthermore, they are $34 trillion in debt. The interest payment alone is $120 billion dollars per year!!! Just like in 2008, the US needs relief, and China is the only one who can help.
