  1. If every American earns an extra $1.00, their GDP will go up by $400 million. If every Chinese earns an extra $0.50, their GDP will go up by $700 million. The GDP convergence will come sooner rather than later. Once the GDP converges, the Chinese economy will rocket upward exponentially and leave everyone far behind. This is a scary thought. This is something the US is desperately trying to delay.
