If the Police can't handle the "active shooter" situation professionally and allow 19 kids to be murdered, why do 2nd amendment activists think that Teachers with guns could do any better? Police train for YEARS to handle this situations, some are even veterans with combat experience who served overseas. They think that a teacher with a gun and a few hours on a gun range a week (or no training at all) is going to react instinctively and be able to save lives?

Ian La Coste Most teachers don't have that kind of training to react instinctively and shoot back in a crisis. I already stated this. their first instinct is to run from the shooter.
