That 0.1% could easily become 10% or even 50% of the population if people aren’t taking precautions or simply ignoring the virus because they believe it’s “just the Flu”. Are you going to pay for everyone’s health care and living expenses when 50% of the population gets sick and unable to work?

If people had followed the rules of stay at home orders for a few months, we could have contained the virus faster with less long term damage to economy.
