  1. Our transportation infrastructure is DANGOROUSLY old and outdated. The companies that run them are worth BILLIONS, but they claim that it would take too much time, money, or effort to update the systems, or they would be out of service too long and they would lose too much money. The overall safety benefit to the customers should far outweigh the cost of upgrades and service downtime to the companies. But...Profit over people and safety.
