  4.  @cloudambient  I’m a veteran and transgender. There is a whole month for veterans, it’s obviously not well known, even among veterans, since there many are still complaining that “why don’t veterans get a month if gays do?”

  12.  @paintup46  how are straight kids being ignored? and by who? LGBT adults simply want LGBT kids to have the opportunities they/we never had growing up. I lived in a small conservative town growing up and "being gay" was taboo always just the punchline of a bad joke. When someone accused me being gay, I always denied it because (at the time) I understood it as bad thing. Even today, because of the way I was raised, I have hard time seeing gay couples together. I didn't know what transgender was until I was out of the military and in college in my 30's. "Straight people never created a group just for straight people." THE MILITARY, CHURCH, RELIGION. almost everything in this world was created specifically for STRAIGHT PEOPLE, especially if it had or has laws that say LGBT are not welcome within it's ranks.

  13.  @paintup46  Anyone who stands up to bigotry and hatred should be considered brave and courageous. Anyone who has to courage to simply be themselves against a majority attempting to oppress them should be also be considered brave. COMING OUT is a real life problem. LGBT aren't trying to "get back" at religion, since many LGBT grew up with religious beliefs. But it is well know that religion and LGBT have had difficulty coexisting. The religious community is still trying very hard to oppress LGBT people and demonize us. They say we are pushing an "agenda", attempting to indoctrinate or "recruit", to simply to force the "gay lifestyle" onto children. None of this is true. People are BORN gay or transgender, and there is zero evidence that shows that a child or adult can "become" gay through "grooming" or any traumatic experiences.
