  26. THOUSANDS of people SUCCESSFULLY transition every year (myself included). But of course, Republicans are laser focused on a few people who "detransition" and use this minority and argument to say that Transgender people are mentally ill (or religious arguments) and the practice of allowing people to transition should be abolished. I have been transition now for almost TEN YEARS and no regrets, except perhaps I wish I could have done it when I was younger. They believe that Transgender people and doctors are influencing the younger generation and even children to "change their gender" against their will. I personally have never done this and I don't know of any Trans person who has. As for Mr. Beck saying he walked into a phycologists office and received the diagnosis that he was transgender "that day", not sure I believe that. It took me TWO YEARS to receive an official diagnosis of gender dysphoria and living as and dressing female and then be prescribed hormones. I was homeless at the time so I was psychologically vulnerable.

What is the purpose of the President going to the border? to give a speech that most people will simply ignore?
