  3.  @jakeroberts7435  if walls work so well, why do those on power not build huge walls around their mansions to keep criminals out? Why is there not a huge wall around our Capitol building? Or around other important buildings in our country? For one, because they’re expensive to build and maintain, they require constant roaming 24 hour security to ensure they are not being penetrated. If we where to build hundreds of miles of border wall, it would cost our country billions of dollars a year to maintain that wall and provide the security for it. Of course, to republicans “it worth it to keep out those criminal Mexicans”.

They may not go off when you want them to, and they kill indiscriminately. Someone firing a gun has control over it and who is hurt or killed.
