  1. It's been over 20 years for me, but this brings back memories of my basic training. Wasn't too much different from this...except the cell phone and face mask part. I had the older dungarees with the bell bottoms, not these newer uniforms. Wonder if they ever encounter any recruits who don't have cell phones and how they deal with that situation?

  3. I went through exactly one year ahead of you. September 1998. I graduated High School that year and joined the Navy shortly after.

  4. I served seven years in the Navy, never heard the history of the white cover… Interesting. I still have mine and it was always my favorite part of my uniform.
