  3. I served during "don't ask, don't tell". At the time, I didn't know I was Transgender, but many of my fellow service members thought I was a gay man (probably because I had feminine behaviors). Now I'm living as an openly trans woman. I'm sure many Republicans would love to have "don't ask, don't tell" reinstated, or something similar to it.
