  1. Why do you accept this article and the curve as Gospel Truth? The author doesn't claim that the curve is based on anything. It seems that he just made it up. And no one should believe it without seeing the underlying data. Data, please.

  2.  @roccociccone597  - We have way too many consultants in software that tout things that supposedly improve your productivity but have no data to back up their claims. TDD, pair programming, the whole agile song and dance. We shouldn't accept any claims without solid data.
