"It's really easy to complain, and it's another thing to actually do something about it." That should be the subtitle for this video. The "problem" is that skiing has become more popular. That leads to longer lift lines and to higher prices. Another video points out that there hasn't been a new ski resort built in the US in 45 years: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPG9mo9D3Fw Why wasn't that mentioned in this video? Increased demand leads to higher prices and long lift lines if there is no new supply. Duh. Could that be because of regulations and restrictions on the use of public lands? How about looking at this aspect of the problem instead of just complaining?

As of September, 2023 the median sales price of housing in Big Sky was $1.79 million. Your $3.5 million price for the average listing is exaggerated. So the More Perfect Union wants to raise the taxes on short term rentals. That is changing the rules in the middle of the game. That would bankrupt many middle class families who own a short term rental. They would hurt the very people they claim to want to help.

@TopherSelleck AirBnBs are often owned by working families as an investment. Changing the rules in the middle of the game by raising taxes on them is unfair and would cause big losses for those owners who have acted in good faith all along.
