I'm a vet. Im a Socialist, and I'm not the only one. LMFAO these Right-wing cucks really think all vets are stupid or still brainwashed. Not true my man, not in any way true. In fact if I had to guess, among vets with political opinions and who go out to vote, I would guess the right vs. left split is probably around 50-50. Oh yeah I do. Especially as we get older and gain more knowledge of the world and start seeing things in much bigger context and grow up and out of all past and previous rah-rah "'Murikka!!" war-drum-beating propaganda.
By the same token I do think Biden and Trump both screwed up royally, whether intentionally or not, and I personally want them to both pay a heavy price for it. I mean, maybe it was inevitable the Talibs were gonna take back over eventually, but we didn't have to HELP them, which Trump did on a platter; on a PLATTER. And then I've never seen such DEPLORABLE botching of what should and could have been a very orderly and staggered evacuation process by that lying, good -for-nothing, Mass Incarcerating, Backtracking and proud, Strom Thurmond-loving, Labor-hating, Anita Hill-attacking, corporate-ballsack-slobbering, elitist ASF, good-for-nothing JOE. I wanna see him impeached over it. I know, that sounds extreme to some but it's not like the GOP would take over, Kamala would. Which is no different to me. She's a cold-blooded and cunning self-serving operator, I'm sure she'll do just fine.
I pretty much have equal opportunity hate for almost everyone in mainstream politics today bec by my standards they're ALL awful and terrible and after a while all the cunning, or corruption, or apathy, or sociopathy, or grifting, or willful incompetence, or dereliction of responsibility or duty, or middle-finger-giving just starts to be WAY too much ongoing bullshit to have to deal with to try to sift thru for that ONE small faint hopeful ray of positive public policy.

@alexscott6095 I get where you're coming from but don't blame the Afghans. As youre about to see that's not really fair and it's a convenient cop-out, and I think it's really cheap and dishonorable that Biden blamed them entirely in his addresses, making them a convenient scapegoat, which thus removes any possibility of blame from himself over his choices re: Afganistan since he took office.
Regarding the Afghan security forces, I had heard they were significantly under-equipped and some, I don't know how many, or where, were half-starving Bec they had food supply problems. Then Trump orders 10 AIRBASES closed during 2020 and most US personnel to leave, while bumping up the Taliban forces by 5000 and their recently-released from jail supposedly top commander. I'm sure the Afghans did what they could but of they were outnumbered, or weren't properly equipped. Also they had been replying on US assistance thru air support but while the Talibs advanced, we had already left and stopped helping.
Yeah maybe some just decided it wasn't worth it and quit, I'm sure that happened; but I'm also sure others tried to stay and fight but logistically based on all this info they were at a significant disadvantage to the Taliban at this point from all my reports. Also I heard all that extra equipment was left at US airbases by US personnel, not turned over to the Afghans. I did hear some of it was in damaged or inoperable conditions but I don't know how much was usable vs. unusable.
This was BOTH Biden and Trump's fault. Biden is a POS by my Socialist justice standards but if you want to be a simple liberal and love him Bec you don't know any better, that's fine. That's certainly your prerogative.

@keirfarnum6811 I agree with everything you said other than "incredible airlift". He should have been airlifting for MONTHS before August. What POSSIBLE excuse was there not to?? Biden fucked this up in almost unbelievably incompetent ways. What president or PM waits until the so-called "enemies" of your current government or client govt ARE IN YOUR CITY TO REMOVE YOU before he removes ONE LIVING BODY from that place? Was he even going to evacuate anyone!?!?? Or pull a Trump???? Because it honestly looks like he never even had a evacuation even planned!
Yes, there was absolutely nothing incredible about that process other than pure, shitfuckery and necessity. he should have reopened the 10 AIRBASES Trump closed and organized months of orderly removals simultaneously! Some people had to drive 12 hours to get to Kabul and still didn't make it into a flight I have read. Sickening, just appalling and looks ALMOST intentionally handicapped and done this way, if you ask me.
I heard Biden flatly refused to listen to any of the top generals (because he's so experienced on foreign soil that's right, like Trump he knows everything of course) on how to effectively and rationally conduct a capable withdrawal. He's such an immoral POS. He's just as bad as Trump. Less than zero sense, HIS WAY or the highway. And then he refuses to extend the evacuation THAT HE PUT OFF TO THE VERY LAST SECOND by end two hours!! I mean....... I don't know if this is weakness or Trump-level idiocy and sociopathic obstinacy. I really don't. Here we are running scared, LEAVING PEOPLE BEHIND, BECAUSE oh no, a TALI-swine might get butthurt and say something?!? Has the world gone MAD?!? ANY POTUS WHO HAD HALF A DICK WOULD HAVE SAID "LOOK- WERE LEAVING- YOU'RE GETTING YOUR CITY BACK (not really theirs but that's how they see it), YOU THREATEN US OR ANY OF OUR PEOPLE OR CONNECTED AFGHANS, WE WILL FUCKING END YOU. THATS how you handle a situation like that. And Biden is just an 80 year old in diapers, as is Trump- and both of this geriatric fucks just completely rolled over and allowed these ignorant primitives to take total control and set the agenda. It's absolutely breathtaking. Trump willingly did everything in his power to give the country to the Talibs and cut out the pre-existing so-called civilian govt in Kabul, and Biden acted like he wanted to set records for how much of a coward and a complete b7tch he could be, while willingly leaving some people behind. The willful incompetence, sabotage and failure is more than my brain can handle honestly.
I'm disgusted by how Biden chose to handle this and I would love to see him impeached over it. I believe he deserves it. Kamala will take over in that case it would be NBD. I suppose this is the only time in my entire life I will EVER agree with republican swine on anything.

@joseeguizabal6712 I am and no, you're totally right. The whole idea of a war purely for the profits and initiated aggressively based on utter fabrications is about the most amoral thing possible. I'm not against all possible interventions, there are always justifying examples, but must be judged very thoroughly and seriously and thru due process; and I'm glad we kept the Taliban at bay to the extent that we did and took down Saddam & his evil sons, they were very, very vicious, but NO you're 100% correct- this whole project was 99.9% immoral from the start and even I, after all this time haven't learned the full extent of the disgusting levels of ongoing war crimes, appalling tactics, unbelievable incompetence or corruption which sabotaged some of the efforts that could have achieved a better outcome; and an almost total disregard of the indigenous population who ended up as intended and unintended (but never dwelt upon) victims of drone bombing and indiscriminate strafing; and most vile and evil of all, the CIA- led death squads and kidnappings, imprisonment and torture on baseless intelligence.

Yes, EVERY Prez since 2000 bears shared responsibly in the killing fields that we created overseas all so that 6 defense contractors could experience legendary profits, and ALL previous Prez's bear the responsibility for openly endorsing or turning a blind eye to the savage and murdereous exploits that the CIA have lavishly dealt out all over the world. Not to be too big picture, but the entire foreign policy mission of our govt organization is comply or suffer or die. No one is too young or too innocent to get targeted or dismissed as no more than collateral detritus from covert overthrows or overt attacks.
