And then they have the nerve to try to catch petty shoplifters and call the cops over for the tiniest amount of shoplifting. When all they have to do, if they really cared all that much, it's just take the stuff back and tell the lifters to get lost. Even though they're minor charges in some states, in others if its a third strike no matter how petty, its used by the satanic DAs to try to put people away for 25 + years. Satan is alive and well in the US through its injustice system, and so is the legacy of Three Strikes. Even in States when they don't inadvertently strike out people over $10 worth of trash they still cause people unnecessary headaches. It's not necessary to give someone a petty charged over something that's very understandable. They make millions of dollars a month in these places and they're going to begrudge poor people taking out $20 worth of junk? How much more do they deliberately waste every goddamn DAY?? It's disgusting. They should have to donate 25% of the total inventory every month to the local community just in a policy of being a good neighbor. That would be MY policy if I was in a position to force it. They would have to radically improve their employee treatment and double or triple all non-managerial wages. If I ever got the power they would probably hate my guts and if they didn't, I'd know I wasn't doing my job.
