  10.  @jaymethysell5111  I don't think it's right wing though. We have to be careful of drawing the wrong conclusions. I think I explained it pretty clearly. If we had a large platform like CNN or Fox News I think all of a sudden millions of people would suddenly start having ideas they never had before and realize "oh yeah why don't we do this- why don't we do XYZ?" A lot of it comes down to simple control of media. I think it's a misnomer to say people are on the Right. That's too easy. I think it's like I said. You have your minority of nuts at the fringes, you have a large majority who don't know a damn thing about politics but vote the way their friends and family do, whether that's Blue or Red, and then you have people that are always ambivalent and that go either way based on a gut feeling. If you're trying to tell me the majority is ideologically right wing I completely differ with that. And don't forget, half the country doesn't even vote, and that could be for any number of reasons. It's not a right-wing country any any more than it's a Marxist country or a Protestant country or Catholic country or a white country or brown country. It is a big mix. having only two worthless dominant political parties doesn't give most people a lot of choice either. If we had 6 to 10 political parties you would suddenly start seeing a lot more diversity and voting patterns and then stated position. Being given only two choices shoe horns people into a box that a lot aren't comfortable with. At the end of the day a lot comes down to propaganda. If we had 100% aggressive voting access, and a fully competitive parliamentary multi-party system, along with the abolishment of the Senate and the induction of rank choice voting, you'd start seeing big changes overnight. The problem is our current system in which the majority of sane voices are silenced. We currently have a pathetic system that makes it incredibly easy for the top 2% to own all the politicians. We can't even get universal voting rights passed! That criminal body otherwise known as SCOTUS did their part to see to that, and Congress refuses to pass their own voting access bill. So what does that tell you? That the tiny corrupt elite that are running the game in their favorite are desperate to do anything to cut the rest of our throats and kneecap the rest of us so we can't have a system that works for everyone. I mean you do know we live in a banana republic right? It's just large and highly developed but it is as much a banana republic as any in the so-called global South or anywhere else. Independent and left voices need a large media platform comparable to Fox or CNN. Media seems to run the show in this country. If we had that media platform people who thought they were Democrats or thought they were so-called Republicans would be coming over to our side in droves. Because why wouldn't they? Anyone who's not a committed fascist would embrace our values of universal human rights, absolute justice and economic dignity. There's nothing radical about it- it's what any normal person would want not just for themselves but for their neighbor. Obviously the forces of evil and corruption don't want that so of course they're going to fight us tooth and nail but don't let them obfuscate the issue to you. It's not a right-wing country or a Left per se, more than anything I say it's a confused country thanks to the elites doing what they do for the last 75 or so years and the duopolists doing everything in their power to crush any genuinely organic people-centered political parties whether they be Left or independent/libertarian.
