  4. Government motive should always be questioned, but science is science. You can't be on the left if you think medical science is just a quaint notion that doesn't really exist but it's just fun sometimes to talk about.

  5. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO STAY ARMED PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOUR POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY IS. SOMEBODY WITH A GUN COULD HAVE SHOT IN THE AIR AND SENT THOSE GOONS PACKING OR SHOT A LITTLE CLOSER TO HOME.

  6.  @carpetcrawler79  in places with real national healthcare and that instituted effective protective measures, they limited their outbreaks. No doubt some outbreaks and some numbers of deaths were always inevitable, there was going to be a non-zero number of deaths, but it was no accident with our amoral clusterfuck government, the least organized and most bungled COVID response around, and no national healthcare, why we had the most deaths in the world by far. I've heard that China had no more than 5,000 COVID deaths and that's in a large nation of 1.4B people. and supposedly that's where it started, so they must have been doing something right to keep their death rate so astonishingly low. Even if that's an exaggeration, even if they had 50,000 deaths, that's comparatively a very very small number to their overall population.
