Big corporations can poison tens of thousands of innocent citizens, destroy lives and livelihoods by the thousands, and they'll be protected. Poor black kid from the hood wants to smoke a joint in his bedroom, get six months in prison if caught. If the judge and prosecutor are really hateful he might get upwards of three years. All the cargo railways should be nationalized and NorfolkSouthern executives given prison jumpsuits. I agree the ultimate problem is humans and the corruption of their souls. However, while assholes will always be with us, we can try to come up with a better form of public management AKA governance that hopefully can minimize the effect of psychopaths and users and takers.

Actually it's a myth that federal spending comes from taxpayer money. That's actually not how it works. Learn MMT. That being said I don't support the Ukraine conflict insofar as the CIA and the State department created it and are fomenting it because they want WW3 with Russia.

@mr.horrorchild4094 I would assume they would put it in the treasury but I've listened to many mmt videos by now and they claim that they just dispose of it or don't use it. So someone's either mistaken or lying, or the mmt guys are right. I wouldn't know from where I'm sitting.

Regardless of the specifics the federal government creates money you know that right? All independent nations create their own currency - it's one mark of independence aka sovereignity. Federal government could spend on anything it wants because it creates its own money. it's decides the size of spending from year to year. That's literally the first privilege of a so-called legitimate federal government. It creates money and the people in that so-called nation use it, and sometimes people outside that nation as well. I mean if the federal government didn't create legal currency, where would all our money come from? Kind of a logical question there. The reason counterfeit money is considered bad or illegitimate is because it was never sanctioned by Congress and the IRS. However, functionally it's as legitimate as anything else. Anything accepted by a taker as an acceptable means of exchange does in that moment become functional currency. Anyhow watch mmt videos it's extremely simple. The central gov set a budget every year, they can set it for as high as low as they like because that's one of their main responsibilities and the choice is theirs, they sent a certain amount of legal currency into circulation every year by choosing to fund different federal programs, projects and agencies, and that's that. If I'm ever mistaken about anything above I'll gladly admit it but I doubt it. I mean how else could it even work? The money has to start somewhere, it starts with the central govt.

It's good info for me because it dispels the myth that the federal govt shouldn't spend on social needs. I mean what the f**k else is it's purpose? Making war around the world? I couldn't even stand to be in the same room with any governor- with one possible exception being Colorado's governor although I'm sure he's plenty dirty once you scratch the surface. They've all had to kiss the ring of big business before they're even allowed on the ballot. We're all just meaningless peons and peasants to them.
