Nobody does. It shouldn't be a public issue. Only a fundamentalist or a fascist thinks people should have the right to control someone else's body. Look it's simple. IF YOU'RE NOT EITHER THE CARRIER OF THE FETUS, OR THE FATHER (and not a rapist) YOU DON'T GET A SAY! WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND!?!? @therobbieunited but the fetus doesn't have those rights, the mother has the ultimate right to decide it's fate until the last stage of pregnancy where it has a reliable chance to survive on its own. Even then if it's reliably showing that the mother's life is in danger, no ethical doctor would hesitate to remove it and put it to sleep. Would you rather a fetus die or the pregnant mother, if it was due to natural causes? And if it's okay under natural causes why can't we make our delivery decisions based on the same value system?? And if thats okay naturally, and knowing that up to half of all pregnancies end in miscarriage (which is a scientific fact feel free to look it up yourself and confirm that) why is it not okay for women to elect to end her pregnancy within the initial 6-7 month window by choice? When you deny the primacy of the pregnant woman's life for a non-aware fetus, you dehumanize the mother, a full grown adult or young person, over inert biological tissue smaller than the size of a softball or a baseball or even a peanut. I'm not sure why you're comfortable with this. If this was your mother or sister or close friend, I have to believe you feel differently. NO FETUS HAS INTRINSIC RIGHTS. You can believe it does, but I do not. no that the mother herself does not grant. It's part of her body, that's what Nature has ordained. She grants it the rights she wishes it to have or not have. It's not for any of the rest of us to say. A pregnant woman shouldn't be reduced to her pregnancy. I consider this a grave injustice. If we start protecting fetuses over pregnant women adult mature thinking sensitive functional complete human beings are going to be harmed and in extreme cases, killed through deliberate medical neglect because a doctor is going to be too afraid to perform unnecessary operation in these evil total-ban states. Is that what you want? Some women who seek abortions already have three or four children. They have spouses and children who already need them. We can debate whether or not they should have used birth control and maybe they did and a mistake happened, but we shouldn't debate their right to end their pregnancy if that's what they wish. If we allow pregnant people to die unnecessarily through pregnancy complications, because they don't intervene soon enough, we are taking away in many cases a mother and a wife from a family who needs her. Is that what you want? You see you need to look beyond your own penis, and understand that total bans and restrictive laws have far-reaching consequences that can be extreme and permanent. We have way too many babies and young children and older children in the foster care system already, in states that are already doing a pretty piss poor job of taking care of them. Now you want to add more? It's not going to end up well. All these babies that you're forcing into the world are not going to have the Happy endings that you assume will happen. Some will I'm sure, but a lot won't. They may end up being mistreated or abused or placed into homes where they are not wanted and not giving the love they deserve. If the mother feels she has no choice but to keep it she may not be the best mother she can, she may not be capable of that. We don't know how things are going to turn out and it's cruel and shortsighted and selfish of us to force these innocent babies that you claim to love so much into the world where there's NO guarantee they're going to be giving a safe, loving, happy, stable home. IF IT WAS REALLY ABOUT PROTECTING BABIES, THEN YOU WOULD REALIZE THAT THE CONSEQUENCES OF ABORTION BANS ARE A THOUSAND TIMES WORSE THAN RESPECTING WOMEN'S BODILY AUTONOMY AND ALLOWING HER TO MAKE HER OWN PRIVATE DECISIONS LIKE EVERY HUMAN BEING DESERVES. ADDING TO THE ALREADY excessive population of youth inside the State foster system is not going to help anyone. If there are enough good safe moral homes for children to go to then we wouldn't hear about all the horror stories of different kinds of abuse and neglect that children have suffered growing up in these terrible or just plain ignorant Foster Care homes. In intimate decisions, nobody has the right to decide for anyone else. Surely you're capable of agreeing with that. Once we allow for govt control in such intimate matters we're on a slippery slope where human rights increasingly don't matter, government tyranny expands out of control, and we become nothing more than glorified property of the State. I'm sure you don't want that for yourself and I'm sure in your heart you wouldn't want that for others. Even if I was to claim that there are cases where a woman's right to choose shouldn't be respected, not a single ONE of these evil total-ban states are guaranteeing financial support to these pregnant women or teens who are considering ending their pregnancy. Not a ONE, and don't kid yourself, not a one will be forthcoming anytime soon. This isn't about providing more financial stability, food, and material security to families who need it, including those who are facing an unexpected pregnancy. This is all about controlling and subjugating women, taking away their/our choices, and for some reason exploding the supply of unclaimed children and babies in the foster care system. I don't know anyone who benefits from any of that and I don't think you do either.

At seven weeks you're talking about something the size of a peanut shell if that. No I don't consider that tissue to being have a right to life. No I don't. The pregnant woman has the right to make that decision. If you're heart bleeds for babies so much why aren't you out there opening up a home for all of the babies that are about to be given up into the state's foster care system from underage teenage girls and young women who were either sexually assaulted or their birth control failed or something else happened and they found themselves the recipients of an unwanted pregnancy. What are YOU doing to give up your life savings and adopt and care for all of these babies that you're defending so vociferously? If you're claiming a teenager or an adult should be forced to give birth to a child that they did not choose and a pregnancy that they did not intend, especially if they were sexually assaulted, then I think you should have to be the one to raise it. You're trying to make these decisions for somebody else, you're trying to tell them that their rights don't matter and there wishes don't matter, then I think it's only fair that YOU then take possession of and responsibility for all these babies that you're trying to force these other women to give birth to. I mean I think that's only fair.

She knows how to say it and it doesn't take a genius to see it. I thank her for her awareness. I don't believe it can happen thru the Dems, I don't believe a non-elitist Dem is possible anymore and even if they were they would get constantly marginalized and attacked by the DNC and special interest forces within that party. So it should be obvious by now if we want to have any chance of getting some justice out of whatever passes for government in this s-hole rapidly devolving Third World nation, we need a strong Left Unity people's party. That's the challenge before us now. We need to work on building this in all 50 states. It's going to take some time but we have to do it. The only other option is sticking by the status quo and we can see what that's brought us. Nothing but lack and oppression.

It's cruel and it's violent and it dehumanizes pregnant people in favor of nonsensient tissue that feels nothing, thinks nothing and has zero awareness. It's going to place pregnant persons' lives in danger from bad pregnancies and botched at-home or back alley abortions. It's going to literally call women who miscarried murderers. Overnight these savage shithole states have been thrown back into the dark ages. But the barbarism and deliberate is the point of these ignorant savages. That's what they live and breathe for. An elected or prospective GOP politician is an amoral sociopath with the IQ of a turnip.
