  1. I have heard about this. I had to use my limited knowledge to explain why this was bad to some dude on Medium trying to gaslight both of us into saying it's a good thing. Deeply unfortunate. The oligarchs and greed class have been sharpening their knives for a very long time. Fr here I see a lot of willful incompetence in your govt, not to mention cruelty (Assange). That's a shame. The only saving grace our gov is that they aren't a brutal third world dictatorship. But you know, give them time. They're not done yet. Really hope your gov turns it around before it's too late. Our gov is a wholly owned Big Corporate subsidiary. I really hope that's not the future for the UK. Thatcher was basically Ronald Reagan in pumps was she not??

  3.  @MOONSIP2  I always say federal taxes are to take care of ourselves. This includes all public goods and rational defense. I mean why else pay them?? Otherwise they're just extortions for the big business power brokers and politicians' corruptions. Obviously our gov almost entirely bypasses the public welfare aspect of them and goes straight to the corrupt use of taxes aka "forced collection". That's why it blows to be American. Better than some places to be sure, but overall a pretty raw deal.

  4.  @MOONSIP2  I don't think I agree with that article or the other one it's links to "what are taxes for". I'll continue to read with an open mind but the moment the guy said taxes on corporations were both practically and ideologically wrong (I'm paraphrasing) is where I was done. I'm a Socialist (libertarian). Lol. That asshole says we SHOULDN'T tax the corporate/ ruling class sector. I can't take another word he says seriously. No offense to you tho, just sharing my positions.
