It's very interesting how easy it is for those with knee-jerk and simple black-and-white views on certain issues are forced to reevaluate their previous assumptions when confronted with the actual reality and lived experiences that that issue represents. I salute that young woman for being willing to reevaluate her perception and being humble enough to change her position, not everyone would have been able to do that. It's interesting how quickly some people, even many people, are forced to at least question their previous casual presumptions when faced with the same. It's always easy to have a certain view until it affects you or someone close to you personally, or you can see first hand the end results or consequences of a certain policy (pro or anti) being in place.

Anything that the states and the federal government can do to make it both financially easier and to help people be more prepared for parenting responsibilities is something that should be taken for granted as necessary public policy. But as we can see, that rarely if ever happens. Welfare for those who need it has been decimated, mass incarceration increases out of control taking many breadwinners and the soul sources of financial support out of many lower-income families, hel, the GOP claims to be so pro-life they voted unanimously NOT to help desperate mothers get even baby formula recently. I mean these people are just ghouls. And then they turn around and want to say "why don't you want to carry your pregnancy to term? a fetus is superior to you, you exist to serve the fetus, every fetus has a right to live!" The hypocrisy of these people is quite amazing. I think that there is at least some who are considering termination who might reconsider if they felt that they would be able to properly support that child, and if they couldn't get family support at least they can get support from the State. But thanks to our cruel and indifferent lawmakers over the past 40 years there's virtually no State support anymore. yes there's a little but it's a patchwork and it varies from state to state and county to county. And as far as parenting classes there's a few, but they are by no means standard or everywhere. And how many social workers are available in a given county to support at risk families or first-time parents? Not nearly enough if any. So the Right wing wants to force women into giving birth, but they steadfastly refuse to do a single thing that would contribute to the well-being of that child and the mother or even the mother's partner after that point. So you see, you don't have to scratch far to see what their true agenda is. It has nothing to do with protecting lives of the unborn and future children or even helping mothers. It's all about some sick domination and control agenda. And if they claim it's not that then I ask them to prove it. Prove to me that is not their agenda and that their motivations lie elsewhere. They can't. Their actions dictate otherwise.

  5.  @Cicero207  yes if she wants to and if she can provide for it emotionally and materially. But she shouldn't be forced to, number one and two, while currently the State is not stopping anyone from reproducing, certainly not everybody should reproduce as the young woman eminently made clear. There are many bad homes out there and children who are growing up into adults who are going to be dealing with the effects of that trauma and those negative memories for the rest of their lives.

  8. Lol. Call or whatever you want. It's the termination of a non-sentient organism. Besides federal law prohibits abortions in the third trimester unless the woman's health is at risk. I would go further and allow elective abortions through the seventh month but not after because at that point there's a strong chance to fetus could survive. But there's only 50/50 chance of fetus could survive independently at the beginning of the 7th month (end of the 6th). Are miscarriages murder? you know approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of all pregnancies end I miscarriage and various stages of gestation? Some happen early before the woman knows she's in pregnant, others happen later. Is that murder too? You're triggered and that proves to me that you've never had sex in your entire life. Please be more triggered. It sucks that women don't want to touch you but no need to project your incel resentment outward.

  10. Ok you have great logic, I decided to change my mind. We should have child murders all around. After all the world's overpopulated. I think every family should be forced to choose one child to sacrifice. To be fair to all we'll say it has to be the youngest. I mean that's one way of keeping the population down.
