  3. Great rundown. The bottom line is, we can have a government for the greedy, unsympathetic, grasping, self-serving, 1% elite (as the US and to a growing extent the UK is now), or we can have a government that ensures a strong standard of living for every man, woman, and child within any given polity and puts their needs first and foremost. Big Greed vs The People. The first is conservatism and liberalism; the second is Leftism, Marxism, Socialism, or Communism. You choose. I know which I'll be fighting for. The public good versus elite grasping private greed. I mean the US federal govt gives hundreds of billions of free gravy welfare away in pure HANDOUTS aka "subsidies" to Wall Street and big corporations every year, plus 1T for world domination, world violence, and mass death. I THINK if we can afford that you we afford to take care of our citizens as well. FUNNY HOW NOBODY EVER CRIES ABOUT "HOW WE GONNA PAY FOR IT" WHEN IT COMES TO MASS HANDOUTS FOR THE RICH OR THE MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX BUT ONLY FOR SOCIAL SPENDING AND ANTIPOVERTY PROGRAMS. COINCIDENCE!?? I THINK NOT. If we MUST have the guns (we don't but let's say we do) then where is the butter??? We CAN do both. ("Guns vs butter debate") And I'm not even saying we can't have a private sector, we can, it just needs to be properly controlled via proper regulations and wise policy. We either declare basic lack and poverty unnecessary and something to be considered morally unacceptable, or we don't. I say no, and that's why I'm a bleeding fucking Communist, because I believe that everyone deserves a good standard of living and this is easily doable right now with our current technology and logistics.
