So true. Thanks for this great post. He's no friend to anyone with decency. He's an exploiting scumbag, and we all should have known better than to believe a word he said. I didn't really believe him, but hoped against hope maybe this time he might be different- but of course that was foolish to even give him a slight benefit of the doubt. He's never deserved it, and never will. He exists to be a lapdog of the predatory corporate class and PIC, nothing else. He gained WAYYYY too much hugely undeserved legitimacy in far too many uninformed people's eyes for standing next to Obama for eight years (who could have also led the way on many of these things, but chose not to). Like all establisment career politicians, he only and ever had cared about himself and has no empathy for others, esp the poor or minorities. I doubt he ever stopped being fundamentally racist. Yes, sadly we knew exactly what we were getting when the DNC foisted him on us and millions of unaware voters chose him over Bernie in the primary.

@ferre77 the best we can do right now is vote in our state and locals for Progessives. Until something changes the only point in voting I'm general elections is not to give more power to GOP conservanazis. We won't get Jack shit out of it, but at least we can keep the fascists out. For now it seems clear our best move is to attack state and local elections. Get out the scumbags, seek opportunities to insert strong Progressives or socialists. General elections have become virtually pointless at this point.

Please stop paying on your student loans people. You've done enough. The worst that can happen is it goes to garnishment and that's not that bad. But it's no guarantee your lender will even bother with that.

@timn5008 you mean your social security?? You're right btw. The only real interests 99% of those in State govts or DC give a flying smash about are indeed Wall Street and to a lesser extent the mostly lawless and predatory PPIC (police & prison industrial complex).

@dullhaus6536 and that's exactly what they DON'T want- a level playing field, for anyone, but esp those from poor backgrounds or minorities. That's the dirty not-so-secret of all amoral high-level capitalism- do whatever you can to take it ALL, and keep the poors and lower middles right in their place! Ugh what a phylthy bunch of people and they ARENT limited just to DC.

@ferre77 sadly all establisment Dems are for their donors and the big corps, same as it's been for decades. Only uninformed Blue voters aren't hip to this yet, they still think there are meaningful differences btwn them and the GOP, when there really isn't. CorpDems will sometimes vote for some mildly beneficial legislation, like the weaksauce non-solution that was the stripped-down BBB (less Manchin and Sinema, two sociopaths and toxic narcissists), but overall, they are not at all the same as the Progessives (what casual blue voters erroneously often think of when they think of today's corporate Democrats) and in many cases will actively fight or resist them on crucial matters, bec EstabloDems aren't there for us any more than the GOP is, they're there 99% for their donors and themselves.

@processlayer1212 yes, that's exactly what's happening here. How unfortunate. I do believe sooner or later we can find a way to bust through this firewall the two corporate lapdog parties have set up, either up north or down here.
