  3. Perhaps representative govt is just a shell game no matter what. We need direct democracy. Every major decision gets voted on by local, state or national referenda. That won't bring utopia, but chances are it will be much much better than being held hostage by asshole or cruel elites. So how do we get there from here??? And how do we make graft illegal? Bec much of our state and most of the fed gov runs on it. Paid lobbying and lobbying firms should be illegal far as I'm concerned.
