Its because evildoers and big business greed has been allowed to rule all
3
Agreed.

Without hard laws to limit big business greed and conduct we're all in the crosshairs sooner or later .... Without hard laws to protect ALL workers, we're all in the crosshairs sooner or later.... Without hard laws to enforce reasonable tax policies, provide basic public needs, or safeguard real civil rights/ liberties we're all in the crosshairs sooner or later. See how it works? This is called LEFTISM. Contrary to popular propaganda it's the only social ideology that protects everyone all the time. fo llow me for more super genius moves

We need a real UEO - United Earth's Oceans (organization)
2
So edgy. Lol get fgcked.

Tell that to the people everywhere else on the planet that take the trains every day and love it. Trust me- when passenger trains are run properly, they are far from tedious.

More like corporations shitforbrains
1
The world bank was never in the game to help the developing world...
1
The last thing we need is more bullshit laws!!
1
Couldn't we just get sand from shallow sea floors?
1
And this is why redistribution, massive labor protections & UBI are so vital
1
Big business robber barons have taken most of everything. Unfortunately it's still happening.

And Shell Oil

I do miss Yahoo messenger and Yahoo classic email though. And I also miss the days when Yahoo's homepage was really detailed, just very useful and you could even customize it with different colors. This was maybe around 2008? And I so miss launch cast music and music videos! I think they were bought out or allowed to shut down due to the rise of iHeartRadio, but I'll always miss them.
1
High minimum wages are vital coupled with cost controls.

RIP Frisco from 1900-2002.... Before the tech boom. A beautiful micro-culture all but lost.....

Until people start mattering more than profits and giant corps including freight rail corps are held accountable this just won't change. It won't. Freight rail can get away with everything including murder in this country. Just ask East Palestine, although they're by far the first. Sad times. This is the Gilded Age Number Two we're in.

Welcome to Dumbassery, US

I'm a commie but I don't agree with most things being illegal
1
We're not commie at all. Unfortunately. So get over it. I wish we were but we're not.
1
And that's what I'm 95% a communist
1
Agreed
1
They're just legalized modern robber barons. In an ethical State they would already be behind bars for mass larceny.
1
If people trains are unprofitable how do you expect that all of europe and most of the rest of the world uses hundreds of them every single day??? I find it hard to believe they're operating at a loss.
1
Freight rail matters, if it's regulated. Right now they can get away with murder, literal murder by negligence, and they have. So these are dark times.
1
If the political and popular will existed to have an efficient, smart, plentiful, comfortable, low-cost passenger rail network we would have one. Isn't it time we get this?
1
Lol. You're such an unethical person. Rightism is the absence of all decency. You have no right to speak on this. Just leave.
1
Define that. Now.
1
Privatize all the gains, publicize all the losses! Sure it's a scam- but it's business right???? The famous business principle! Didn't Marsh read the fine print???? It's like getting in bed with the devil. It's only good at first. Then the reality hits.
1
@nolananderson4782 I can do that math!

Interesting as f**k

It's so easy to fix homelessness you just have to mandate affordable housing and provide all the support services that those at risk and on the street need. If they actually did that and it's not rocket science homelessness would quickly evaporate statewide but they don't want to do that. They would rather be corrupt, send the money to line people's pockets, or just not making enough resources available. It's very sad.
1
Well the problem starts with our politicians. If we want better laws that help protect people from themselves (if that's what we say we want) then we need to elect better people who won't sell themselves for a song and a glass of cheap wine. As that seems impossible, we are ALWAYS going to be on our own here. At a minimum, all sports betting outlets should be taxed out the wazoo. Secondly, there should be limits on how much any person should be allowed to bet at any one time and have frequently in a given 24 hour and 7 day. I'm sure there are plentiful other good regulations that we can enact besides these. With heavy regulation I don't have a problem with gambling establishments they just need to be properly controlled. I'm also not sure people should be able to access them from their cell phone. I do think that's a little too much accessibility. I'm fine with online and internet betting, from a desktop console but I do feel that the maximum amount anyone can bet or lose at any given time should be limited by law, and there should be limits to how many times they can participate in a given week. So I would start there. No smartphone or personal phone access, only desktop or in person access and limits on participation. And of course not to be forgotten, extreme taxation locally and statewide of these establishments.
1
It's just legalized industrial scale theft. That's all it is. They're all in on it together. All the politicians and all the elites. Their goal is simple- plunder the entire planet of EVERYTHING; strip it bare and let everyone else nonalive. Think I'm joking? Think I'm being too hyperbolic? I don't think so.
1
It makes me sad we can't be truly great.... With all our money and so much poverty. Morally reprehensible Yes. I'm mostly communitarian and this DISGUSTS me
1
Hey I know you!
1
Lol ludicrous. Do you say stupid shit just for fun???
1
EC is literally thuggish and unnecessary. You cannot think rationally.
1
We're not saying don't have freight rail but they shouldn't have to share the same tracks and freight rails should be hugely regulated and right now they aren't regulated at all. Also I agree with you there should be a smoking car or at least a smoking cabin or smoking balcony on rail lines.
1
@JoeRogansForehead every country is corrupt dude
1
@SuperCatacata it's a multinational problem not just China
1
Redistribution and giving a fuck about the bottom 50% fixes all but that will never happen here- too much corporate and billionaire money here. The 1% rules all. That plus a barbaric mass incarceration industry keeps millions in chains. So poverty and corporate rule continues until real militant Leftists can get our act together and take power. We're still working on it. Until then, there's the courts, public platforms, and ballot measures. Yeah. We do need to secede. We should be independent. DC is nothing but organized psychgpathy anyway. We owe them nothing.
1
Both are needed.
1
Well that's another bullshit law. I see no reason why publicly run entities shouldn't be able to make some profit.
