  2. Until people start mattering more than profits and giant corps including freight rail corps are held accountable this just won't change. It won't. Freight rail can get away with everything including murder in this country. Just ask East Palestine, although they're by far the first. Sad times. This is the Gilded Age Number Two we're in.

  3. If people trains are unprofitable how do you expect that all of europe and most of the rest of the world uses hundreds of them every single day??? I find it hard to believe they're operating at a loss.

  4. Freight rail matters, if it's regulated. Right now they can get away with murder, literal murder by negligence, and they have. So these are dark times.

  5. If the political and popular will existed to have an efficient, smart, plentiful, comfortable, low-cost passenger rail network we would have one. Isn't it time we get this?

  6. We're not saying don't have freight rail but they shouldn't have to share the same tracks and freight rails should be hugely regulated and right now they aren't regulated at all. Also I agree with you there should be a smoking car or at least a smoking cabin or smoking balcony on rail lines.
