Julia signed a release of liability with inside edition. 😂 Actually though it was totally monitored and yeah might have looked weird but I'm sure her parents were right there the whole time. And Julia got to feel like a big somebody when she went back to school the next day. "I helped save kids!" 😅

  4. While the driver was clearly at fault, the new technology of the automatic timer for the door is insane. Did nobody give it any quality testing? Did nobody think, hey if we implement this, in rare situations, something could possibly go wrong? like other people have said, the last line of defense should not be technology, it should always be a person. Technology cannot understand when there's a child caught in the door and automatically release, at least not yet. Not unless they put those sensors in the door like they have for elevators. Would probably be a good idea.
