@dougfoster445 wait a minute I thought it was juvenile records were sealed after 18 and weren't legally allowed to be used against them? Can't you sue that place for discrimination? Something that happens when you were a stupid kid shouldn't have any bearing 24 years later. That's beyond all logic.

It takes a lot of courage to finally come forward. He could have continued to keep the secret, but he didn't knowing that he would potentially be put away for life. I hope the courts showed mercy on this man. It looks like his life hasn't been a very good one since this incident.

@contradictionsniper8276 I doubt that was his motivation. His regrets seemed genuine. Why don't you be less cynical?

@rossross3689 nah fam. It's the coming forward that counts. for all we know he never meant to kill the man but the other two wackos he was with decided to do it and he couldn't stop them. We don't know exactly what happened that night. I'm sure his family is just thankful now they know what happened. Perhaps they will forgive this man and ask the courts to show him mercy.

It's amazing most cops care more about locking up a poor black or brown kid for using drugs then they do going after someone's killer. This is not an exaggeration. They don't always help out rape victims either. I pray that your friend will find justice someday. If not I believe they will have to answer on the other side. Many people escape justice on this Earth but I believe their day is coming.

What a senseless murder. All they had to do was rob him and leave. Nobody would have been killed or harmed. Why choose to kill someone who's done absolutely nothing to you? Why senselessly kill? I guess that's a question people like us will never understand. Those other two clearly have no conscience and weren't bothered by the outcome at all. My heart goes out to this man clearly he has a conscience and he's been haunted by this incident ever since. I praise him for for coming forward finally. I believe he should get a chance to walk free again, although that really should be up to the victim's family in all fairness. Perhaps he himself never intended to kill the young man and those other two crazies he was with were the ones that killed him. He just didn't come forward with the knowledge. In that case he's not guilty of murder at all but he is guilty of concealing the fact that a murder occurred. Robbery is a crappy thing to do to someone but it's a relatively minor crime when no violence occurs. He might have intended only to rob him, but the other two wackos he was with decided to take it much further. I don't know if that's exactly what happened, but it wouldn't be the first time, if it did. It takes a lot of courage to finally come forward. He could have continued to keep the secret, but he didn't knowing that he would potentially be put away for life. I hope the courts showed mercy on this man. It looks like his life hasn't been a very good one since this incident.
