  1. Her mother didn't mind that she was only 13 and marrying a grown young man??? Why not just wait 6 years? Imagine already being married for half your life at 26. So she went to high school as a wife??? 😐 I wonder how I would have felt if someone in my school was married. At least it seems like they had a decent marriage and she has her children from it, so that's nice.

  3.  @WanderingInWonderland93  yeah. Erf. But it was a different time and place I guess. I don't know how common it was at the time but marrying your cousins wasn't always considered inappropriate, esp the further back you go. I don't know if it was common but I understand it as being not terribly uncommon.
