  1. Wow! I'm so sorry to hear that! Did he even let you keep them or was it for a drug habit??? I won't say I've never shoplifted from a store but I would never ask a child, any child, to ever do that for me. I'm sorry you had a dirtbag dad. I assume you're an adult now?? Just curious if you still talk to him. Has he ever apologized for that? Was your mom involved too or did she not know? Also, just curious if you ever got caught and if so what happened from that? I'm just sorry you had to live like that. No child should have to steal or do anything in order to get food! My god. I'm glad you're free of that today. I hope you're doing ok.

I've taken a few things out of stores before, I'll admit it, it's not like that loss of $20 is going to make a multi-million dollar store go bankrupt. But I have no idea how kids would do it. Just pick it up and walk out? I'm just curious. Btw I wouldn't feel too bad for the store. There's no way they sell all their inventory. From what I've learned they throw out a LOT. They have a lot of excess and they would rather throw it out than simply donate it to the community. If they're willing to intentionally waste all that stock how can they claim that stealing is harming them?? They're literally throwing their own inventory in the trash when if they really didn't want it anymore or didn't feel like keeping it on the shelf anymore why wouldn't they just give it away? so if they're willing to trash a significant amount of their own assets I'm not going to feel bad taking that if that's what I feel like doing on a given day.
