If the FTC really wanted to be a hard regulator they would have their work cut out for them for the next 100 years, bec big biz has the nothing but get away with one thing or another over the past 60 years as it has bribed or convinced govt groups to look the other way or back off. Honestly the most glaring lack of oversight is in the Care industries. Nursing home facilities and behavioral care centers, esp that focus on minors. For anyone who's followed this issue at all, as I do occasionally, the abuses and misconduct are shamefully rife. It's because criminal for-profit corporations are allowed to participate and run the centers and that right there should be a no-go from the start, but it isn't, because in this country nobody guards the gate. Really, they don't. It's always a crooked collusion between so-called regulators, Court officials sometimes even social workers and hospital workers and these types of places. I'm willing to grant that sometimes some of these workers honestly do not know better and thought these places were responsible, but I know sometimes they do know. A lot of exposes in lawsuits have come out regarding these facilities over the past ten years. I'm fine with cracking down on various consumer goods I don't care about that, as long as they don't make that they're so focused but were their efforts are desperately needed are in healthcare and behavioral care. A little enforcement and a few simple regulatory changes could have huge ripple effects.

Very simple- set hard quantifiable market share limits by law, say 50%. No single firm may dominate or merge into controlling more than 50% of a single industry. Big business is a curse on this planet and is the root cause of everything wrong. I'm 100% hostile to them and I'll never be changing my position. I'm not saying businesses can't or shouldn't be allowed to grow, but there should be a hard and enforced upper limit. They want to have absolute power over this planet and that should not be allowed. Nobody wins this way other than their chief shareholders and managing board. Literally everybody else loses- consumers, the environment, indigenous communities, the developing world, the developed world, workers in these firms, etc. Big business is tantamount to organized crime and it should be subject to extreme controls otherwise, it will never stop trying to consume everything in its path and nothing matters other than that next worthless quarterly profit. It's a model based on infinite greed, and it's absolute bullshit. Workers in these criminal enterprises don't even benefit- only those at or near the top do.

The reason the FTC keeps losing is because these federal judges are hand-picked crooks and criminals to serve the corporate will. Everyone knows this. It's rigged from top to bottom. Kind of crazy that even a watchdog Federal organization that's trying to do their job can't penetrate this. I mean what's the point of taking a city and putting it in a narrow footprint with a high wall on each side? I just don't get the point. So now everything's closer together and more compact. Okay so what? Even if it could be done sustainably with enough open space, green space and fresh air. If MBS has wants to do big projects, why can't he direct his teams to do civil improvement projects throughout Saudi Arabia? I think as long as the boards don't degenerate into total insanity it should remain almost fully uncontrolled. People should feel free to say almost anything, although I agree that some comments go too far, but I want to be careful when it comes to forcefully preventing free communication. Not all ideas are great or positive but only be being able to share one's ideas is there a chance that one can reevaluate themselves at any point. I would rather give other people a chance to honestly react to a negative sentiment thereby giving that person opportunity to possibly change their mind, then simply clamping down. Most drama online will work itself out in a pretty short time period without outside interference. So I do oppose most moderation because I've never felt it ever helped me have a more enriching online experience than I would otherwise without someone trying to control my words, or the words of others. If I feel someone is way out of bounds I'd prefer the right to tell them so, or at least report them, then someone preventing us from speaking. Disagreements and debates can be just as valuable as calm conversations where everyone feels the same way. Moderation really bothers me because it's someone else taking away my right to say what's on my mind, or react to those of others. Its not like I can't leave the space if I feel it's no longer worthwhile for me. So in almost all cases I oppose moderation and speech control. As an adult I don't need others trying to protect my delicate ears or shut me down and I want to hear from those who disagree with as well as agree with me. For 18+ spaces I feel most moderation is either unfair or counterproductive or does a disservice to it's users.

@Graahk-r8u we'll see. Apparently there's a crooked federal judge for every purpose and so far everything the FTC has tried to do has been struck down by these hand-picked federal judge-kings. The special with a federal judge is a mini king. We rejected kings in 1776 supposedly and then just decided to put them throughout the entire Federal structure. So nothing really changed.

For someone who hasn't been able to put away enough or any money for retirement, good luck living on social security alone- its levels are pathetic and wont do a damn thing for you unless your home is paid off. Oh but can't afford your ongoing property taxes? Enjoy losing your home and facing homelessness if you cant persuade your local county to grant you a deferral or some sort of reduction. It's totally ok to rip a family's/person's only home away from them simply because one cant afford their latest round of property taxes. I find this morally repugnant and evil. If I have any way of changing it in my lifetime, in my state, I'm going to try to do so. While it's disgraceful how independent tribes in the region are being treated, eminent domain does exactly the same thing here in the States.
