@g0fvt yeah just terrible. No one should go without heat in the winter! All energy costs should be subsidized at least through the winter months and at the height of the summer months. Of course here in California we live under the power company dictatorship as well which I'm getting very sick of, however I will say this I think there was a statewide program rolled out in part due to the pandemic that is helping people catch up on their power bills, so that's better than nothing. We also have LIHEAP which helps low-income households with that. I think some states have power cutoff bans in place during the winter months. Should be the law from coast to coast. Some of what you're seeing by you may have to do with what's going on w Russia and Ukraine right now. I don't know if or how much of the UK's energy needs were being supplied by Russian oil but I take it you're aware that the US sponsored the blowing up of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline right? So whatever may have been coming in from that has been temporarily interrupted. The feds such liars lmfao they think people out here are really dim and can't see the obvious. So yeah they did that. In Finland I believe. Can't believe people are being left without affordable power in the winter by you. I'm sure some are in this country too. Living under brutal corporate rule is always fun eh?

@elkhunter307 I'm not in love with corporate Dems but I hate the GOP too. Gridlock isn't good either. Only people power is where it's at. I don't want to put my fate in anyone else's hands. I'm way outside the mainstream. I don't know what your values are but I stand against the corporate dictatorship. Whatever is best for the People, in this case the right to be energy independent and to effectively get off the paying grid if we're solar owners (which I'm not at the moment but I aspire to be), is our f*cking right. I seek far Leftists completely outside of this mainstream red-blue uniparty duopoly. It's certainly an uphill battle as both parties are shameless and committed in their service to, and ownership by, the big business sector.

The mega-corporate dictatorship of our lives continues. Right or Left we should all oppose this. The legal fight back against this immoral law should begin NOW. As a hard left Californian I would never support this. Corporations are the enemy and they should be driven underground. Without people power we have no power. This is just another piece of the puzzle of how we're all just slaves in this corporate empire of ours. But we don't have to take this lying down. We can fight back against this, we can take the fight to the courts. Corporations buy every politician in existence, and they buy a lot of the courts to but they can't buy every juror out there- they also can't buy ballot measures, they can only buy misleading advertising. Setting aside the fact that I believe Public Power should be a public utility and run publicly, and I think it's bad news to allow private corporations to provide Public Power, it sounds like they had nothing to complain about before when they were making plenty of profits under the old system. But that wasn't good enough for them, it never is. So here we are. So, yay. Captured forced consumers. Now why don't I feel so free about that? So. Hopefully people with the time and ability to get together can organize against these ridiculous efforts in Canada to deliver the knockout blow to solar where you live and we're going to have to do the same down here.

Vista here. The corruption and rot of both parties is something we live EVERY SINGLE DAY HERE. Sure it's a beautiful area - but it's still screwing us. Home prices out of control. Rent? Over 2K now for an average two bdrm. This is CRIMINAL. We're all just slaves to our corporate overlords here and then they have the gall to wonder why there's 10,000 homeless here. When will we revolt??? People keep voting for the same red-blue filth that keeps breaking it off in all our aS$es. We need to change this and only Leftists want to put the public's rights and public interests FIRST and to break the back of abusive corporate dictatorship. Considering joining me in becoming politically active on the real Left.
