  1.  @clarkkent9080    all new tech including next gen nuclear will take time to be established. That's how technology goes. There will be setbacks and challenges to be overcome but it easily can be with proper funding and smart leadership. Again, back to public federal funding. We need it. What if we were to aggressively promote Best Nuclear tech now??? Can't do it on the private dime. In the ancient days NASA achieved a lot with then cutting edge technology. I'm extremely miffed we don't have a similar movement for Modern Nuclear now. MSRs, Fast reactors, breeder reactors, Thorium, SMRs- how good are all of these if properly used?? Amazing new paths forward. Did you watch the Rosatom video on atomic blender??? Now that's how it's done!

  11. I always thought Yucca Mountain was a good solution. Provided it's stable enough and the casks are solid enough, it seems safe to me. I'm glad the people were able to make their voice heard, but I feel they were wrong on this one. It's one of the few times I find myself going against public opinion.

  12. Unfortunately because of the few highly visible disasters, an uninformed public believe nuclear power to be scary and dangerous. This is really unfortunate. Public education is sorely needed here.

  20. There's nothing worse than a US politician. Both parties are terrible, but the GOP is extra trash. I hate them both tho so I'm not playing favesies. Ten years ago the GOP House and Senate didn't want to renew health coverage for 9/11 first responders. They honestly didn't. Because they're just cute and funsy like that.
