  1.  @SybilKibble  Ukraine is independent tho. It's my understanding that it hasn't been under any other flag since USSR broke up in 1991.

  4. Yeah.... But they all thought they were going to come right back. It's sad, but many people's beloved pets have descendants now. There's also a thriving cat colony in Chernobyl I believe

  5. I wonder about releasing some rabbits into the area. They will breed and increase, but all the wolves and dogs will keep the population in check, while having access to a greater food supply.

  6.  @ВладиславВладислав-и4ю  I don't mean to insult anyone's national identity but you have to admit both words are nearly identical. It's like saying in the US 'favor' vs 'favour', the UK spelling, which means the same. Do whatever you like that's your prerogative but essentially you're saying the same word.

  8.  @Multi1  The Chernobyl disaster was unfortunate and tragic but it was an accident. They are paying for ongoing abatement to the area I'm sure. Animal welfare efforts could be considered part of those efforts, but I guess they haven't chosen to do so yet for whatever reason.
