  1. oh my gosh FUUUU. You just reminded me of that episode. 😭 I CANNOT watch that without getting tore up. Such a moving episode. I mean I tell you I don't care how hard-nosed somebody is- if they're at all a fan of science fiction or any kind of serious story, that that episode will wreck you. It's truly one of the most amazing from the series. WTF I swear to f'n G I can feel myself getting emotional just thinking about it. I was so upset the first time I watched it and found out the race had passed. I think I better go drink a beer. 😂 You know I'll always appreciate the spinoffs, but I tell ya; and I don't blame them, I know they each did the best they could with the limitations they were under, and they each had their own special qualities, but none of them could recapture the magic TNG had. IMO I guess. I've often wondered why. Maybe it was the absence of Gene or René. I think so. Unless I'm overlooking someone. Those two more than any other seemed to be able create something very special with TNG.
